Do I need to install specific BI (Business Intelligence) software?+
Not necessarily. Depending on the needs, I build a custom web dashboard, or I build on top of the tool you already have. The goal is ease of use, not technical sophistication.
How long for the first dashboard?+
Between 3 and 6 weeks for a dashboard covering a clear scope, identified sources, validated indicators. I always start with a short workshop to frame the right indicators, before writing a single line of code.
What's the ballpark budget?+
Every dashboard is quoted at a fixed price, after a short workshop to pin down the right metrics and identify the sources. You know the exact amount before you sign — no hourly rate, no surprise overruns. The budget mostly depends on the number of sources to connect and their complexity.
How is the data updated?+
Depending on the source: in real time for modern APIs, hourly or daily for older systems. I propose the right tradeoff between freshness and technical cost.
What happens if a data source changes (new API, migration)?+
The relevant connector needs adjusting — that's the most common maintenance case on a dashboard. I offer a light maintenance contract for it, but the code is documented and you can also have any developer do it.
Does my data stay with me?+
Yes. We define together where the dashboard is hosted, who can access it and how the data flows. GDPR-compliant, and depending on your constraints everything can stay in Europe — I don't resell or exploit your data.
Can the indicators evolve?+
Yes, it's designed that way: dashboards are built so you can add or change indicators without starting over. Either you ask me again, or you hand it to someone else — the code is documented and belongs to you.
Who owns the dashboard and its code?+
You do, from delivery — code, documentation, access. You can evolve it yourself, ask me again, or hand it to another provider. No lock-in.
